Tarek Sakik is a Managing Partner of Hadath International, responsible for strategic communication advisory, crisis management and leadership development and profiling.
Tarek has over 16 years of experience in the region working with multi-national communication agencies, including Burson-Marstellar, Edelman, JWT, APCO Worldwide across the UAE, KSA, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
Tarek has worked with a wide range of clients in the both the public, semi-government and private sectors, including the UAE Government, Meeras, Savola Group, NBO, Government of Sharjah, Al Jazeera, MBC, Dubai Media Incorporated, Dubai Mercantile Exchange, the Kingdom of Bahrain and a number of ministries in KSA and Qatar.
Tarek also helped a number of corporations build their communication capabilities in several build, operate and transfer projects in industries such as real-estate and development, retail, healthcare, entertainment and media.
Tarek has specialised in crisis management, mitigation and preparedness, having worked with Dubai Holding and the government of Dubai during the period from 2008 through 2012 during the financial crisis.
Tarek has worked on destination branding for major entertainment projects in Dubai, including Dubailand, and supported the communication during the launch of mega projects such as Universal Studios, Marvel, Dreamworks, Six Flags and Legoland. He has also been involved in the communication campaign for Tiger Woods Dubai and worked with Meraas on the launch of Parks and Resorts.
He has been part of the communication initiatives of leading semi government companies, including Dubai Holding and others entities, to support the Dubai Strategic Vision 2015 and its focus on attracting 15 million visitors to Dubai.
Tarek Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Wollongong in Australia and a Masters in Strategic Marketing from the same institute.
