Paolo Figini is Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna (Italy), where he has been teaching since 2000. He is also Extraordinary Professor at North-West University, Potchefstroom (South Africa). He holds a PhD in Economics from Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland). He mainly works on the economics of tourism, collaborating to several research projects at CAST – Centre for Advanced Studies in Tourism, at Rimini Campus of the University of Bologna. In the free time he loves hiking.
