Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan founded MEDIASA YAYINCILIK A.Ş. in 1996 to offer new thematic channels to viewers in Turkey. She started her career at TEKSA A.Ş. in 1988, then continued working at BOSSA and YUNSA until 1996. She is also the co-founder and vice chairwoman of DEMSA A.Ş., and MARINSA DENIZCILIK. Since 2006, she is the chairwoman of ONKIM STEM CELL Company.Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan’s companies include several familiar names such as Harvey Nichols Department stores in Turkey, Brandroom stores, St. Regis Istanbul Hotel, Pera Palace Jumeirah Hotel, World Travel Channel, MCJ Shopping Channel, Fashion&Travel Magazine, and Hiref.
She has received the following awards: Women Economic Forum 2016 Iconic Women Leaders of the Decade, International Women Hall of Fame inductee in 2015 and Monte Carlo International Women of the Year 2014.
She is the Founding President of T-ONE, President of TIKAD High Advisory Board, President of the Executive Board of Creative Children’s Association, member of World Academy of Art and Science WAAS, Women Economic Forum Board, Venetian Heritage Foundation, Harvard Kennedy School Women’s Leadership Board, Europa Nostra, Club des Leaders, Monaco Private Label and Chaine des Rotisseurs Association Mondiale de la Gastronomie.
